More pumpkins

This weekend was wonderful. Not only did Penny sleep in till 7:30am both Saturday and Sunday morning we got to spend the whole weekend with Daddy. Saturday we headed over to the fair grounds for the giant pumpkin contest. These things were huge. We grabbed a jamba juice at the stand and headed over to Wal-mart for the baby giveaway. We entered the raffle for some furniture and a huge supply if wipes. Danny ended up guessing right on the number of animal cookies and won a prize. When he went to claim our gift we were handed a shitty little bathtub and soap. Also we were given a bag of trash. Seriously!? Trash. He gave it back and complained. Ugh makes me want to give all my business to target but they need to hurry up and build one a little closer to home.
Sunday is football! We get all the use out of our NFL Sunday ticket even when the Niner's are not playing. I felt the urge to get a few more pumpkins (my name is Sheala and I am addicted to pumpkins). We headed to my favorite spot so far this season, South Fork Farm. We grabbed a few pumpkins and some locally made goat chevre cheese from Jollity Farm. We headed back home to catch up with dad and finish our night with the season premier of some cartoons, animation domination!

School picture day

Today was school picture at my preschool. Always fun. This year Penny got her first official "unofficial" school portraits. Hey never to early to start sending yearly wallet sized pics to all the family.

Our weekend in pictures

This weekend was the kick off to fall. It was also the first time it has rained here in north Cali in a ling time. So needless to say it's officially fall!
Friday started deliciously with apple turnovers and cider for breakfast. Thanks to one lovely momma that brought them into preschool that day. After a morning of work I headed home where Danny and his brother Dakota were taking our pile of junk to the dump. Hooray! The yard is looking good again. After that Penny and Danny snuggled up for some peter pan.

On Sunday danny went to the 49er game
and we hung with grandma and grandpa down in folsom. whole foods kept us occupied for quiet awhile. we ended the day with some swinging and barbequing
in the evening

10 months old.

My little girl is growing so fast. She is ten months old and that officially means birthday party planning is coming into full effect. She is becoming everything and more that I expected. Learning new things and making us laugh each and everyday. Slow down on the growing so we can savor it. I sure am looking forward to the holiday seasons. The first time in my life I think I've ever been ready for fall, not only ready but excited and having penny around is definitely most of the reason.

Happy mail days

The last week has been exciting to come home with something new arriving in the mail almost everyday. Got to love the finds. With H&M, Gap and some great etsy shops. The reversible hair wrap from Love Adellaide and the tribal print ear warmer from Duchess and Lion Co. We also received Gap jeans and jackets from Penny's Granny, and I had to grab a few more favorites from Gap and Old Navy. They have been have some great sales and I have been taking full advantage. We just need some cooler weather to start sporting it all.

Volleyball

First volleyball matches of the season went off without a hitch. Well unless you count the hitch in our steps this morning from being a little sore. Neither Danny or I have played a sport in a few years. Luckily no pulled muscles or serious injury for us or our team. Penny came and cheered and handled staying up later so very well. We won our first to sets of matches in two games. The third we lost but not by much. Loving the league and all the people that we have played so far. We are totally looking forward to the season and making it to playoffs.

Fall!!?!

Yes it's September 10th and I have officially began a pumpkin craze. Fall craze. The house smells of cider candles, belly is full of pumpkin spice and I bought mini pumpkins at the grocery store. I can't pass by those cute little things and not want to buy. On the down side its California and the heat will be around another month or so. Until the cool weather comes and we bust out our sweaters, jeans and boots the flavors and smells of fall will fill our souls reminding us the crisp days are around the corner.

Girlfriends

We had ourselves a nice weekend. Nothing crazy just a good friends and football.

  Saturday morning we went to hang out with a friend and her little girl 
Nalena at lyons park. There was a softball tournament to benefit autism going on all day. we spent most the morning visiting and people watching. 
(these girls are 4 days apart.) 

  Sunday was football of course.
go 49er's.
Our girlfriends came over for the game and dang if they are not the cutest little cheerleaders on the west coast. 

We're now enjoying some Sunday night football in a cool quiet house. except the sound of penny and her toys. the crankiness sounds like it is beginning so it's bath, bottle and bed. 
Heres to a good night sleep and a monday that will start our week off right.
