Friday Favorites

Another Friday Favorites. This week is a small list. but a charming one at that. First off now that Penny is getting a little bigger she wants to romp and run. Parks have been our savoir. Even with a little stumble from the second stair down to the bark resulting in a few face scratches it had been fun for both of us to get away from the house for a bit and be outside. Our yard is great and we are in the process of building a little playhouse small yard area for the spring and summer time.

This park is usually empty. Mommy likes the peace and quiet of it
My new candle is delicious. I usually don't do to sweet of smells but with Valentine's day around the corner I thought it would be a nice change. The look of the candle is what first caught my eye

Baby Tube Socks! yes these are the greatest thing ever and so cute. I ordered a few pairs and cant wait to incorporate them into your spring wardrobe.

To another early morning work week done and gone and to a weekend filled with fun in the fantastic weather ahead.
Happy Friday!

14 months

Penny is 14 months old today. I can say that this age is by far the most fun, but I imagine each month that goes by becomes more fun for all of us.
Age 14 months

Height around 31 inches

Weight around 26 lbs

Teeth you have another one on the bottom right and one back top teeth on either side. I discovered this while brushing your teeth the other night. I guess I left my finger in there to long cause you bit me.

Food you are not so into the fruit thing. You will eat banana and dries fruits but that's about it. You like your veggies; corn, broccoli, carrots, peas, green beans. We are going to start some smoothies as soon as you can drink through a straw. You love noodles, gold fish, Graham crackers, meat, and eggs. You are also in the stage where you don't sit long enough to finish because you're ready to go back to playing.

Sleep bed time is between 7:30-8:00. Your usually up around 6:00 or 6:30, 7 if mama's lucky. You nap most often once a day for two hours.

Favorites you love the dogs or 'gogs' like Penny says. You also scare Oswald all the time. You want to be outside moving constantly. Your quiet the busy body. Also from one toy to the next. You have started to like to hid in your teepee and you could look at books for a while by yourself or with mom and dad. You even have a little mama in you and shut drawers, put toys away, wipe the tables and sweeping. Your also very interested in the vacuum.

You are becoming quite the personality and your laugh is infectious. Looking forward to a fabulous year with you Penny girl.

Our Park Place

There is a place that's quiet and peaceful, where Penny can run free. It is the newest park that was built in town this last year. Apparently not many people know of it because every time we go there it is empty. It is a tot-lot which i love because the play structure are smaller and there are baby swings.

Penny loves the outdoors and this is becoming one of our favorite places to spend a hour or two.

There is nothing better then spending the afternoon in the sunshine, watching Penny climb up and go down the slide over and over. She goes belly first unless I am there to switch her to her bottom.
So here's hoping this chance of rain passes and we can hit the pavement and head to our park place, always hitting up Starbucks for a little mommy pick me up before we go.

Friday Favorites

The last week has been nice. I'm so glad it's Friday. Working early shifts all week get tiring. But here are some things i just had to share that i like, love, or gotta have more of.
1.I have been thinking of opening an etsy shop this year. I am getting the sewing together but I am also thinking of some other things i could list. Anyways this has lead me to crafting and i found that these little yarn poof balls make my heart smile. i mad a garland of them for a friend who is due with a baby soon. but i made these 'dandelion' type flowers for my house.

2. Our back yard is fantastic. We sit on just under two acres and share the property with my parents. Danny and I got most of our cut tree branches burned up which just cleared the field and reminded me how fantastic and big our yard is. I got to thinking of plans for Penny's playhouse and mini yard i want to put together for her this spring. Penny thoroughly enjoyed romping in the yard. She even made a new friend we call Big Bear

3.And one of the most wonderful thing to happen this week was my niece came back to town to live with her dad for the remainder of the school year and summer. We see her usually for a couple weeks in summer when she flies up from Riverside where her mom (my sister) live. It will be so nice having her only forty five mins away rather then 9 hours. So glad to have the chance for her and Penny to make some memories together.

Happy Friday!
Who's ready for some football!?!
 GO 49er's!

An afternoon

Today was just one of those days when you feel like doing nothing but you know its not fair to sit on your ass all afternoon leaving your child to be bored and fussy. So... we ventured to the back yard. Simple fix to boredom and Mom's blah feeling. We walk laps around the lawn and played with the kitty then headed to hang with the chickens. Penny tries so hard to make the noise of a chicken but gets the 'bah bah bah' and it's so cute.

She was definitely intimidated by them a bit.

Some chicken wrangling outfits at there finest. I haven't had a chance to sloop around in my new Bogs rain boots, but i could not wait for rain any longer and brought them out today

The simple things.

A New Year {Resolutions}

It's now 2014! It is amazing how much faster time flies each year of my life. And now having a baby, i feel like this last year was the fastest one yet. A new year and some new goals. I always try to better my health by what my family and I eat on a daily so that is always a goal. but here a few more that I have been bouncing around.

1. Learn to use the sewing machine. I plan to master making Penny leggings, hats and dresses with this comes Possibly opening an Etsy account or doing Farmers Markets.

2. Get outside more. Whether it's playing on the deck, in the backyard or headed out to the bike trail or park. The weather has been amazing (no rain, possible drought in the summer, bummer). But for now im enjoying this 'winter weather.'

3. Be more Trusting. in all aspects of my life.

4. Enjoy the little moments more. Time flies sometimes I have to stop trying so hard for something to be so perfect and just sit back and enjoy.

Ready or Not 2014 is here.
