Pink October

It's always fun to dress a certain way for a certain reason. This month has been full of Halloween attire. While scrolling through instagram this morning I realized there is something we could be dressing for, breast cancer awareness. So we posted our pic and liked a whole lot of other little ladies. Snap you little mini in the finest pink and don't forget the #cutiesforacure

One small step.....

We have steps! Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog! While hagging out porch style this early afternoon Penny let go of the bench and started stepping. She has been doing one step for about four days now, but this was walking. I'm talking 12 steps multiple times. She smiles and starts moving. I got pictures and Danny got video. So that will come in a bit. But these steps I will remember forever.

11 momths!

Whoa! First off happy 11 months to my precious little P. I can not believe its been a whole year since you first graced us with your presents. You are so silly and smart your definitely our child.
We have no doctors appointment till your one year check up so weight and height stats will come then. Although weighing you on the scale at grandma and grandpas house said you were 24lbs. That's my big girl!
You love making us laugh. You have a hell of a fake cough which drives us crazy. Your starting to wave just a little, you say buh buh for bye bye. You also say da da, ba ba, da for dog. You will say ma ma when your sad. You love cuddling your elephants and you are getting good at putting toys where they go, a little of mom rubbing off on you. You sleep pretty good minus a wake up once a night due to odd positioning usually. You are close to walking, hope it comes before your birthday next month i've accepted that it probably wont be Before Halloween in two weeks. We are racing to get our costumes together and starting to party plan. Invites are ordered now to start think about decorations and food. Busy month ahead.

Our Weekend in Pictures

Saturday morning started of with a giant breakfast from the Train Station. We meet your great grandpa Nolan and his wife Bobbi. This mom at entirely to much and watched Penny ate quiet a bit of the greasy fat food. Delicious once in a while
We headed home for about a half hour to let you sleep and to restock diapers and bottles. We headed to Coloma for Gold Rush Live. Tents and people all set up to look like the 1850's. We even got to use gold coins to buy candy, drinks at the saloon and chili.

After heading home for family nap time We got dressed and headed to dinner at Macaroni Grill. More delicious food for all of us Penny included. At the end of the meal as we are all standing to leave Penny pukes all over the floor and chair I had just gotten up from. Thank goodness no one got hit. That's life with a baby.

Our Sundays are always nice a little rest and relaxation while we watch football all day long. Penny had some fun elephant playtime. She also used a fork for the first time at lunch and dinner. She did very well with it. I also made spaghetti squash for dinner. You love noodles so I've decided to substitute it with the squash once in a while for a healthier option.

weekend recap

The weekend came and went once again and I sit here on a Monday afternoon waiting for the little to get sleepy for nap time. Saturday was a great day. Danny was off all weekend which always makes for more fun. We went to the youth expo Saturday morning. It has activities and swag for kids of all ages. As small as it is, we still had a good time. Nothing like free kid books and food for all. Penny needed to be a little older to do most the activities but still fun to walk and people watch.

After that we headed home for nap time. Dad went golfing and we headed outside for a little sunshine. We Made Penny an awesome tepee that I've been dying to do and its finally done and awesome. Possibly going to add a few more details but the main project is complete.

Our Sunday was the usual Football ALL day! The 49er's won so the are high spirits in the house this week. We also enjoyed our first batch of chicken noodle soup via the crock pot. Delicious soup Sunday.
