The little things

It's days like Yesterday that make me so thankful for so many things. My family, my home, and the simple things that make us happy are just so evident lately thank I can't be thankful enough. I'm just over the moon in love with these two. The bond that they are building and the memories awe are all making together.
We spent the day at home doing odds and ends. Danny weed whacked and I did some household chores. After lunch we headed back outside to wash dads truck. It was a mere 65 degrees but that didn't stop you from wanting to walk right through the stream of the hose. By the end off it you were soaked so we headed in to change and hit the sack for some nap time.

We Went out before dinner and decorated the BBQ flat with some chalk. It was a beautiful day together. The warm weather will bring more days of lounging outdoors till the sun goes down, water play all day, and fresh fruit and barbecued meats all season long.
Penny has also been showing affection and love more the last few days. Things like stopping chalking to come and give a hug (which is more of a lean on ) to  both of us, or jumping on the bed in the morning to 'hug' dad before we go to school.

It's the little things and i am beyond grateful for them.

Earth Day

Happy Earth Day! Recycle, reduce, reuse. We are doing small things here and there to help keep our earth around for all to enjoy. We are more then excited to start our garden this year. I'm hoping it will help expand Penny's taste for fruits and veggies. It's pretty limited right now, so here's hoping fresh, homegrown veggies will do the trick.

A lovely Easter Sunday

Easter morning started with this momma getting up just before Penny did to so I could stuff the eggs. She had Chedder bunnies, mini M&M's and Jelly beans. After getting over the brief shyness from mom, dad , Grandma, grandpa, and cousin Savannah waiting and watching. After help with the first few eggs you had the idea and off you went, "Oo" -ing at all the ones you spotted.

The grass was still wet and we had to change from our beautiful Easter sandals to our outdoor shoes. Good thing because your feet were soaked by the end.

Some friends came by in the afternoon and we BBQ'd and enjoyed the fantastic weather in the backyard. We had a second egg hunt and after only a few eggs gathered Penny was done looking and starting popping those eggs open to eat. This girl had more candy then she ever has in a day. It was so much fun to have her really enjoy the holiday. She is growing so fast and is more and more fun each day.
Happy Easter Sunday!

Our friend Alicia's 1st birthday

Last night we headed over to Red Hawk Casino to eat. It was one of Penny's best friends 1st birthday. Alicia is such a little character. She stomps around and loves to holler for attention. We love her so much. We ate at the buffet were her mommy(my friend Citrina) works. Of course it also means just a little bit of Gambling and stuffing our faces full of food.

The girls made the biggest floor mess with buttery noodles.

This picture describes Alicia's personality so well . Here she comes, she's a big girl now.

These two melting my heart. She needs to tuck in that tongue before she bites it.
Danny ended up hitting and won a little over a hundred dollars. Paid for our night in full. Bonus!

She loved when we sang Happy Birthday to her, and the dessert plate read "Happy Birthday Alicia."
Happy Birthday Little Friend
We love you!

Meeting the Easter bunny

Yesterday (Thursday), We had the Easter bunny visit the kids at work today. This was going to be the first time Penny meet the Easter bunny. She did good mostly because the setting was small, only 10 kids and the bunny was a good friend of ours.
Raisins and bunny crackers before the Easter Bunny comes
She opened the door to the Bunny and here instant reaction was turn and run.
We hunted for eggs in the Garden Center
She started feeling more friendly
Even shared her egg

A great start to our Easter weekend!

Weekend play dates

Friday afternoon we headed to the City park to play with our Friends Citrina and Alicia. We got there and almost instantly everyone left and we had the place to ourselves (We're too cool, we clear the room).
We swung and ate snacks most of the time. the girls are still a little young to climb the play structure.
She held her arms up so long. She refused to re-position them

Saturday we went and meet a few mommy's and there littles for kids expo.
It was a nice morning and good company always make for a good day. The expo itself was small and the kids are actually a little young still. they just take off into different directions and fuss when we want to move on to the next activity or booth.

We went with my friend Rakayla and her two little girls Nalena and Navara, as well as Marcie and her son Kash.

They did enjoy playing with hula hoops.

And of course picnicking in the shade

After a long day of fun and sun I found her here just a few minuets before bed

Spring mornings

The weather has been O so perfect for the last 6 days. After school when Penny and I get home we usually head to the backyard for dandelion picking and chicken chasing. We water the garden and collect a few eggs all while basking in the sunshine. The only unfortunate part is we have a huge silk worm gathering every year and the sticky webs are no fun for anyone.
We love you spring, please stay forever.
Penny is quit the wondering miss. She loves to stomp around the yard and find new tubs of water to play with or flowers to pick. I have to keep my eye on her cause shes is quick and quiet.
Picking Dandelions, next we will learn how to blow them. As of now they sometimes get touched to her lips and stick all over her mouth, so cute.
Found some water to play in. The whole in the fence could barely fit her fingers but she kept insisting on splashing.
